Project News: Polaris Shipping Agencies LLC Turning Challenges into Successful Deliveries

In project logistics, even the most carefully planned operations can be disrupted by unexpected events. What sets great logistics providers apart is their ability to adapt quickly, find practical solutions, and keep projects moving.

Our UAE member, Polaris Shipping Agencies LLC, recently demonstrated exactly that by successfully completing a series of complex cross-trade shipments despite significant regional disruptions that impacted shipping services and access to key UAE ports.

The project involved transporting approximately 1,200 freight tons (FRT) of project cargo, including JCB backhoe loaders, XCMG articulated boom lifts, and tower cranes, with individual units weighing up to 24 metric tons, from the UAE to Mombasa, Kenya.

When the original shipping plan from Port Jebel Ali became unviable, the Polaris Project Logistics team quickly reassessed the situation, evaluated alternative routes across the GCC, and identified Port Sohar, Oman, as the most efficient gateway. The cargo was relocated to a dedicated staging facility, where it underwent careful technical preparation, specialized packing, and containerization before continuing its journey.

Despite extended border clearance times, evolving customs procedures, transit congestion, and rapidly changing regional conditions, the team maintained close coordination with all stakeholders to ensure the project remained on schedule.

This successful operation is an excellent example of the expertise, resilience, and customer-focused approach that our EPNetwork members bring to complex logistics projects around the world.

Congratulations to the entire Polaris team on this impressive achievement! We’re proud to have you representing the UAE in the EPNetwork.
