EXPRESS GLOBAL LOGISTICS EXECUTES SEAMLESS TRANSPORTATION OF PASSENGER BOARDING BRIDGES

Express Global Logistics (EXG) recently demonstrated exceptional project management capabilities through the successful transportation of critical airport infrastructure components in the western part of India.

Their team managed 40 packages of Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB) with a total weight of 235.9 metric tons, including oversized components measuring up to 21.16m × 3.68m × 4.2m.

Our comprehensive service covered every aspect of the logistics chain, including Customs Clearance, Port Handling, and Transportation.

The complexity of this project demanded sophisticated machinery. The EXG’s operations team deployed 8-axle hydraulic trailers specifically designed for super-heavy cargo, complemented by two low-bed trailers for optimal load distribution.

This equipment selection ensured structural integrity throughout the transportation process.

The most challenging aspect involved transporting delicate glass components integrated within the boarding bridge structures. Their engineering team implemented a multi-layered approach:
Hydraulic suspension systems to minimize road vibrations
Heavy-duty cranes with precision controls for loading operations

Overcoming Technical Challenges
The boarding bridges needed extra care because of being fragile in nature. They solved this by carefully planning the best routes, watching the cargo closely during transport, and using special ways to secure everything. They made sure that minimal Z-axis movement happens to avoid jerks that could damage these delicate components.
