KRS delivers multiple OOG Cargoes for Factory set up at Sohar Free Zone

Khimji Ramdas Shipping (KRS) delivered multiple parcels of capital goods for a factory set up at Sohar Free Zone.

The consignment consisted of 6 x BB super – OOG cargoes + 20 x OOG FR containers + 17 x 40 HC containers consisting of all Capital Goods and their accessories. Out of the above , the 6 BB super OOG cargoes were accepted under the hook as Direct Delivery.

KRS undertook the Free zone regime customs clearance , Port / Liner coordination and the transport with Police escorts / Private escorts wherever applicable from the Container terminal at Sohar Port to The plant facility at Sohar Free Zone- around 30 km away.

The challenge was to coordinate between the Port , Police authorities, Ministry of Transport permissions and the plant facility for acceptance of cargo and aligning / synchronizing the suitable trailer placements accordingly. KRS , as usual , kept up to the standards expected to the satisfaction of the delivery schedules of the end client.

Total HC containers    : 17
Total CBM Handled : 4119 cbm
Timeline achieved for the whole process : 8 days
