Company Update – Boosting Heavy Lift Capabilities: Liburnia Group Introduces New SPMT

We are pleased to share an important development from Liburnia Group, which continues to strengthen its capabilities in heavy and oversized cargo transport.

Liburnia Group has recently expanded its operational fleet with the addition of a Cometto Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT), significantly enhancing its ability to manage complex logistics projects in port and industrial environments.

The newly introduced SPMT, part of the Cometto MSPE range, features:
✅ 8 axle lines
✅Axle load capacity up to 70 tonnes
✅360-degree electronic steering
✅Hydraulic lifting system for precise load positioning

This advanced system enables highly accurate maneuvering of heavy components, even in confined and technically demanding environments.

By reducing the need for repositioning, it contributes to improved operational efficiency, precision, and safety across transport operations.
The SPMT will be deployed across projects managed by Liburnia Group in Croatia and the wider region. Its integration further supports the group’s strategy of strengthening in-house capabilities and maintaining full control over complex logistics operations.

Notably, this unit represents one of the first SPMTs of its configuration in the Croatian market, offering one of the highest load capacities currently available in the region.

This investment reflects Liburnia Group’s continued commitment to precision, reliability, and operational excellence in demanding heavy transport conditions.
