Project News from CTO Autralia : CTO GLOBAL LOGISTICS S.R.L. Australia Delivers Complex OOG HVAC Project from Melbourne to Singapore

We are pleased to highlight a recent project successfully delivered by our member, CTO GLOBAL LOGISTICS S.R.L. Australia, showcasing their expertise in handling complex Out-of-Gauge (OOG) cargo under demanding timelines.

✅ Project Overview

CTO GLOBAL LOGISTICS S.R.L. Australia managed the end-to-end logistics of multiple OOG HVAC units from Melbourne, Australia to Singapore. The shipment consisted of 14 x 40’ Flat Racks (FRs), executed across two separate lots with precise coordination and efficiency.

✅ Scope of Work

1. Pickup & Transport to Packing Yard
The HVAC units were collected from multiple client locations across Melbourne and transported to the designated packing yard using specialized OOG-capable trailers. Careful route planning ensured compliance with width restrictions and NHVR regulations.

2. Flat Rack Loading & Rigging
Cargo handling was conducted under a certified lift plan using overhead cranes and forklifts. Each unit was positioned on timber dunnage and secured with reinforced blocking and bracing. In several cases, units were paired and loaded side-by-side with high precision.

3. Lashing, Securing & Survey
All units were secured using a combination of high-tensile ratchet straps and marine-grade chain lashings. Cross-lashing techniques ensured both lateral and longitudinal stability.

A total of 14 units were surveyed and certified by a marine surveyor. Additional measures included timber chocking, anti-slip mats, and stacking blocks where required.

4. Tarping & Weatherproofing
To protect sensitive components, all units were shrink-wrapped and covered with industrial-grade tarpaulins. The cargo was tightly sealed to safeguard against weather exposure, including rain and salt spray during transit.

5. Ocean Freight to Singapore
CTO GLOBAL LOGISTICS S.R.L. Australia coordinated all export formalities and secured OOG bookings across two sailings. Close collaboration with carriers ensured optimal stowage planning, with units positioned either on deck or under shelter in accordance with operational requirements.

✅ Conclusion

This project highlights CTO GLOBAL LOGISTICS S.R.L. Australia’s capability to manage complex OOG shipments with precision, safety, and reliability. Their attention to detail and end-to-end coordination ensured the successful delivery of all units within the required timeframe.

We congratulate CTO GLOBAL LOGISTICS S.R.L. Australia on this outstanding execution and thank them for continuing to represent the strength and professionalism of our network.
