FLS Executes Massive Cargo Operation of Giant Power Plant Components from Vietnam to Australia

🚢 From Vietnam to Australia — Mission Accomplished! 🇻🇳➡️🇦🇺

Coordinating the safe transport of oversized cargo is no small feat, especially when it’s a 9,55 x 9,55 x 5,30 m bypass system components, roughly the size of a small house !

FLS Vietnam recently took on this high-stakes project, managing every step of the journey from Dung Quat to Adelaide with precision and dedication. The operation began with trucking the unit from the workshop to port storage, a process that included the careful lifting of electrical cables to allow safe passage. From there, the cargo was moved to the free alongside vessel (FAS) position before being loaded onto a chartered vessel under full liner terms.

The sea voyage to Adelaide involved meticulous lashing and securing, ensuring the cargo remained safe throughout transit. Upon arrival in Australia, the unit was unloaded and transported by truck from the port to the job site, a move that required gate widening to facilitate exit from the port area. A bespoke traffic management plan, supported by local authorities and police escorts, oversaw this final leg to guarantee compliance and safety.

📍 The result? A flawless arrival, right on schedule, with the cargo in perfect condition.
